I think "Mine" is used in english logo to avoid misreading of character name. It sounds like english "Mine" and not like english "Main".

I'm not using the URL text in my previous post as argument, but the images there. Even on your official NHK link you can see that "Mine" is used on logo behind the girl, on the picture
And what I say is that "Mine" in logo is not used for its english meaning, but probably for its english reading, which matches correct japanese reading of "まいん".
I completely agree that "まいん" should be romanized as "Main" because that's the character name. It's just that show's english logo officially uses "Mine".
