It seems here we have 32 Mbit ROM.

SHVC-1J3M-20 PCB was used for 2Mb, 4Mb, 8Mb, 16Mb, or 32Mb ROM chips.

More info here: http://snescentral.com/pcbboards.php?chip=SHVC-1J3M-20

I'll check this one out, already on the way!

Hmm similar to the last one I checked, which repeated the last 512kb to fill 2MB, this appears to repeat the last 1MB to fill 4MB. However, I'm not convinced these are accurate representations of the chip and not just the last part not being mapped to the ROM from the edge connector. I think a little further investigation is needed. While I've desoldered Sega chips before, I haven't done it with SNES and I'm not sure if all the hirom/lorom type stuff affects dumping the chip or interpreting it. If I get to looking into that I'll update, and now am questioning the last one as well.
In any case, the chip isn't 3MB.
