But I think this is probably actually a pun on this word:

Meaning something continuous or forever. It's spelled "zoo" because of the animals, yes. :3
No-Intro actually has another game that has a similar case to this one. It is "Ranma 1-2 - Akanekodan Teki Hihou":
The pun there is "aka neko dan" (the "red cat group" in the game) and "Akane kodan" (where "Akane" is the name of a main character in the game and "kodan" means a sort of traditional oral storytelling in Japanese). It was decided then for No-Intro to keep the words together to preserve the pun.
