I'm late, but here. :3
This situation reminds me of the Super Back to the Future Part II issue, in which you and some other guy disagreed on what the title should be for that game. I ended up going with the one I didn't want to back then (some other guy's) because it was the "safe" thing, basically. It's bugged me for a while, actually, because it seemed so arbitrary a decision at the time. And it still does.
I wouldn't mind changing this Crash Dummies one now, but I need to be sure to make it consistent for all games. So the Super Back to the Future Part II game would lose the "Part" in its title for example. I think this could be good, because if we're going by kana, we should not make exceptions, even if the title differs from the English. On the other hand, if we accept the English title as correct for that game, we should accept it as correct for all games. For example, Madoola no Tsubasa would go back to being Wing of Madoola, The.
We could use a concrete ruling on this. I think either No-Intro should use the kana as the only naming source when it is available, or it should always use the English. My preference is kana because it's how Japanese people would read the game's title, and it was intended for them to do so. The original naming rules call for giving English the priority, which I don't favor, and the naming rules seem to have evolved silently over time. But it is written, nonetheless. So we could still go with the English on the box for all games where it's applicable.
I think we all should ponder this for a bit (perhaps in the forums), but I'd like to create consistency in the meantime.
