would be interesting to put the name of the ROM something like [Game Boy mono compatible]
to say that the game of GBC works in GB mono.

I could use DMG and CGB to solve this matter maybe? These are Nintendo's official system descriptors in the game serials.

other idea (supported by byuu) is swap the extension of the roms,as follows:
dual mode games was renamed to .gbb (game boy black carts)
color only games remains with .gbc (game boy clear [or color] carts)

I'm not too much into what byuu recently did, so forgive me. But wasn't that renaming stuff all about not being able to tell which format/which system the images were for?
The DMG, MGB and CGB are contain hardly completely different hardware or ROM mappings. Even the ROM header only changed slightly for the CGB games.
IMO, this is one run using any header tool on a "complete" set to scan for the compatibility byte present.
