On the Nintendo Game Boy, the game Mystic Quest is just Final Fantasy Adventure.

Hopefully there would be a way to update the naming convention of it to reflect that so people don't mistake them for being different in their collections.

That's what its called in Europe, I'm afraid. Would using a USA Parent-Clone dat solve this issue?

Honestly not personally an issue for me as I somehow managed to commit it memory at this point and never used the dats at all myself outside of ClrMamePro.

But potentially for people who don't know it could use it.

Could be an added feature on the site itself to have a section for each system where games with different names between regions are listed so people can cross reference them.

Thank you for the response though, just noticed that when I was toying around and saw the game and get curious only to realize this was the same game I still owned the original cartridge to just renamed.

Was thinking about it,

A Parent-Clone set, that's similar to how they make merged sets in mame correct?

If so, that could work as it would take all the games that are the same and put them in a single directory/file.

Sorry, my knowledge of dat files is limited at best, used them to audit mame and that's as far as I ever used them.

Yeah its a similar concept to mame merged sets. I don't know exactly what ROM managers support for P/C dats, but the info is there (more or less) to allow games to be grouped by version and region by the ROM manager.

Ah, that could be a good way.

Actually have the dat file merge games from different regions into the same file or folder. Would make it easier to manage and for people who do a merged set and save on file sizes for the archivist who actively manage their collections.

Literally have a merged file for each game and then ClrMamePro could easily add the new games rename it for them.

Most people I have found who archived them kept them individually zipped which made them easy to search but took a good deal larger space. Having Dat files that managed merged sets could save them space while keeping more organized.
